Digital Villain Studios at FLUID Arts Festival

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. - July 1, 2007Digital Villain Studios, NYC-based design studio and video production boutique, will be having a screening in NYC, courtesy of the FLUID Arts Festival.

The curators of the FLUID Arts Festival in Long Island City have selected 2 of Digital Villan Studios' short films to be included in their inaugural event: http://www.localproject.org/fluid/

Screening Number 1 (FLUID Opening Night): "Pistolera: Six-Minute Shootout" - 2006, 6:15 min A short music documentary featuring a Brooklyn band, now playing internationally, with their own brand of latin-pop-folklorico, combining Spanish lyrics and rock attitude. Shot, cut, and directed by Omar Solis.

Screening Number 2: "Ready or Not Times 4" - 2004, 4:20 min (An unforgettable Digital Villain Studios classic. Ask anybody who's seen it. Anybody.) An experimental short film about 4 people looking for 4 different things. Shot, cut, and directed by Omar Solis as part of a 64 hour filmmaking competition.

Digital Villain Studios offers Front-end Design solutions in addition to Interactive Design, E-commerce, Hosting, Video Production, Flash/Video Conversions, Rich Media Advertising Production, Video Production for Cable and Internet Access, as well as original content showcasing the talents of its members.

FLUID, the new media movement, will officially open as a new audio-visual alternative stage in New York City beginning to function this summer of 2007. 65 audio-visual pieces produced by 47 national and international artists, that innovate in the categories such as: Video Art, Motion Graphics, Narratives and Music Videos conform the FLUID screening program that will be presented during weekends of July.
