RadioVillano.com Launches

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. - May 4, 2005 - Digital Villain Studios, NYC-based design studio and video production boutique, has completed production on RadioVillano.com - a site dedicated to featuring independent music en español - rock, rap, pop, punk, ska, electronica, metal, and more. Each week, RadioVillano.com will be updated with a new podcast, focusing on the best independent artists. Ongoing podcasting will be produced by Digital Villan Studios.

Podcasting is a new technology, less than one year old, allowing online audio distribution in which mp3 (or other digital audio) files are uploaded to a website, and listeners subscribe to automatically download these files to their computer or onto a portable mp3 player as they’re made available. Listeners can then listen to these podcasts whenever they want - in the car, at home, at work, or on the go.

"Podcasting is a fantastic new medium," says Omar Solis. "It literally gives voice to anyone. It is such an easy technology to adopt - a microphone, a computer, and the ability to write a simple RSS file - that anyone can do this. We are very excited to be participating in this new way of communication." He further adds, "In addition, I've always enjoyed rock en español; I have a decent collection of CDs. Now, I have the opportunity to promote new independent artists focusing getting their music out to be heard."
